About Little Green Hands
Little Green Hands — Tiny Seeds, Happy Trees is the flagship school programme of NASLA-Africa. It introduces primary school children to growing food, protecting nature, understanding soil and respecting farmers through fun, hands-on school garden activities.
The programme is brand new. We are at the Year 1 pilot stage — preparing, listening and looking for the founding supporters who will help launch the first school garden.
Illustrative imageOur vision
A generation of Cameroonian children who know how food grows, love the land that feeds them, and carry practical care for nature into their homes, schools and communities.
Our mission
To give primary school children hands-on experience of growing food and caring for nature — through school gardens led by teachers, supported by families, and enriched by the knowledge of local farmers.
Start small, grow true
One school, one garden, one honest pilot. We would rather do one thing beautifully than promise many things at once.
Learning by doing
Children remember what their hands have done. Every lesson happens in the soil, not only on a chalkboard.
Community first
Teachers, parents and local farmers shape the programme. The garden belongs to the school and its community.
Care for the earth
Food, soil, water and trees are one story. We teach children to protect nature as carefully as they grow food.
Honest about our first steps
We believe trust begins with telling the truth about where a project stands. Here is exactly what is — and is not — happening yet:
- The Little Green Hands programme design is being prepared, including garden activities, learning themes and teacher support.
- No school garden has been built and no children have taken part in sessions yet.
- The first pilot school will be selected together with community partners in the Southwest Region.
- We are seeking founding supporters, volunteers and partner schools to make the Year 1 pilot possible.

Help write the first chapter
Every supporter who joins now becomes part of the story the first pilot school will tell.
